American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a hybrid Emergency Room / Urgent Care role, requiring a WA or Compact RN license and multiple advanced certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a brand-new freestanding hybrid Emergency Room and Urgent Care facilityUnit features 8 treatment rooms including 1 trauma / resuscitation room, a dedicated triage room, and 6 hall chairsDaily patient volume averages 90-100 with a mix of 60% urgent care and 40% emergency level casesRN-to-patient ratio is 3 : 1 for ER patients, varies for urgent careEPIC EMR is used and experience is requiredShifts are night (7 : 00 pm – 7 : 30 am) with every other weekend requiredNo floating or on-call requiredFacility has an on-site 24 / 7 security presenceTelemetry and ventilator equipment available, no RT onsite (RNs may be responsible for ventilator management)Includes X-ray and CT in the ERResponsibilities include triaging, providing acute care, administering medications, and managing ER holds and transfersTeam includes ED physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, and an RN & LPN mixOrientation consists of 12 hours of trainingHoliday shifts are scheduled by rotation among staffScrubs of any color may be wornRNs are not required to float to other unitsFirst-time travelers will be considered for this assignmentCandidates who were directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year are not eligible\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or Compact RN license required at time of considerationMinimum 2 years recent experience in emergency room nursing requiredCurrent certifications required : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NRP, TNCC, and NIHSSTypical ER RN skill set expected, including triage and strip-readingExperience with EPIC EMR requiredMust provide two professional references : one supervisor from the past 12 months and one supervisor or peer from the past 3 years with employment dates and eligibility for rehireCopy of driver's license required\n Benefits\n
