Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to support aircraft carrier maintenance and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive operational experience with Naval Nuclear Propulsion programs and a deep understanding of shipboard systems, planning tools, and coordination with Navy repair activities.
This role is critical in ensuring maintenance packages are accurate, complete, and executed efficiently by collaborating with shipboard teams, naval maintenance activities, and senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications :
Minimum of ten (10) years' experience of fluent use of RMAIS / VSB, with the ability to review, validate, sort, screen, and provide feedback to respective ship and work centers on job submissions to ensure information is correct and all-inclusive for brokering work items to repair activities.Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience with direct involvement in Naval Nuclear Propulsion onboard aircraft carriers, with at least ten (10) years gained through direct operational experience while serving onboard.Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience with strong knowledge in hull, mechanical, and electrical equipment and systems for aircraft carriers.Minimum of ten (10) years' experience communicating with and briefing senior naval officers and civilians on shipboard systems and equipment status, including providing recommended courses of action for repairs.Ability to communicate independently and effectively with various repair activities (e.g., MARMC, NRMD, NNSY) regarding required repairs, with the technical knowledge to discuss those repairs clearly.Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience analyzing and evaluating the CSMP, and providing recommendations for brokering maintenance actions to Maintenance Program Managers.Strong knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, with a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in developing / maintaining spreadsheets, analyzing data, and providing short- and long-term readiness recommendations.Minimum of five (5) years' experience accessing and using the Navy Data Environment (NDE) for Ship Change Documents (SCD).Minimum of five (5) years' experience accessing and using MFOM for CASREP status and updates.Minimum of five (5) years' experience with strong knowledge of assessing system and equipment deficiencies; ability to ensure Departure from Specification (DFS) documents are issued and scheduled for corrective action.Minimum of ten (10) years' experience using Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) for availability tracking.Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience with Steam Plant Action Requests (SPAR), Steam Plant Liaison Inquiries (SPLI), and Liaison Action Requests (LAR) for critical system updates.Minimum of ten (10) years' experience interfacing with shipyard Project Team members, including Project Superintendent (PS), Assistant Project Superintendent (APS), Project Engineering Planning Manager (PEPM), Business Strategic Planning Officer (BSPO), and Work Integration Manager (WIM).Minimum of ten (10) years' experience evaluating maintenance provider estimates during the planning phase of aircraft carrier availabilities.Minimum of fifteen (15) years' overall experience with technical, management, development, and integration of Naval work package execution for aircraft carrier repairs, maintenance, and modernization within the last five (5) years.
