Protouch Staffing is seeking a travel EEG Technologist for a travel job in Dallas, Texas.

Travel EEG Tech

Dallas, TX 75230

7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM

Rotating weekends

3 × 12-hour shifts per week

No floating to other units (EEG only)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine, STAT, and continuous video EEG procedures
  • Apply electrodes using 10 / 20 system; use collodion and paste techniques
  • Monitor EEG waveforms; escalate abnormalities to physicians promptly
  • Handle EEG for all age groups (neonates, pediatrics, adults)
  • Educate patients and families on EEG procedures
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot EEG equipment
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other departments
  • Complete accurate documentation, reports, and patient histories
  • Provide high-quality care at bedside including in critical care settings

    • Required Qualifications / Experience :

  • At least 3 years' experience in EEG
  • Proficient in routine and STAT EEG, continuous video EEG
  • Experience with neonates, pediatrics, and adult populations
  • Skilled in electrode placement, collodion & paste application
  • Analytical skills to recognize abnormal waveforms
  • Strong communication and patient interaction skills
  • Ability to work independently and in fast-paced units

    • Preferred / Advanced Skills :

  • Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T) certification (via ABRET)
  • Experience in stereo EEG monitoring
  • Elective EMU patient care experience
  • Experience in critical care settings (NICU, PICU, ICUs)

    • Other Details & Policies :

  • Patient ratio ranges : 1 : 4 to up to 1 : 6
  • Floating allowed only within competency and EEG-only units (not general units)
  • May work EEGs at affiliated Heart & Spine hospital locations
  • Shift rotations, weekends, holidays required as needed
