Rehabilitation Technician

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic, goal oriented and team player to join our team as a rehabilitation technician.

Rehabilitation Technicians will be working one-on-one and as part of a team with rehabilitation patients in our in-patient sub-acute facility. Candidate will be exposed to the latest rehabilitation approaches and equipment, providing an excellent opportunity for those pursuing direct patient care and / or physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech language pathology.

Candidates with a strong desire to work along side a team providing patient care are strongly encouraged to apply. Onsite and offsite training will be provided.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Patient / Resident transportation to and from rehabilitation area
• Therapy set-up and breakdown
• Assisting therapists in providing a therapeutic and safe environment.
• Maintaining equipment and working area
• Working as a team in setting up and preparing for group activities / therapy
• Able to foster a positive and encouraging working environment for staff and patients / residents
• Performing clerical duties, filing, computer work, etc.
• Reports directly to assigned therapists and Director of Rehabilitation.

Qualifications

Physical Demands :

Salary : $16.50 an hour
