Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends based on business needs. Ability to handle routine inquiries and maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of chemical handling and safety protocols. Familiarity with Kanban systems and lean inventory practices. Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Specialist to support our manufacturing operations through efficient material handling, chemical inventory control, and logistical coordination. This role is essential to ensuring the seamless flow of materials within the facility, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and meeting the operational needs of the production team.
This job is for you if
- Perform stocking and inventory management of hazardous chemicals and cleanroom / fab consumables.
- Receive, inspect, and route incoming materials and chemicals, ensuring accurate documentation and handling.
- Monitor and restock Kanban materials based on production usage and requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Procurement Team to maintain accurate inventory levels and avoid production disruptions.
- Execute and manage material stock transactions using SAP.
- Conduct weekly physical inventory counts and reconcile with system data.
- Track material batch expiration dates and coordinate replacements as needed.
- Prepare wafers for scrapping and coordinate shipment per company procedures.
- Maintain and organize the safety supplies cabinet and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Monitor dumpsters and yard space, ensuring old pallets / crates are disposed of appropriately to maximize space.
- Provide general support across departments and assist with other duties as required.
- Ensure all material handling complies with safety and regulatory standards.
