Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Job Description :

The Unit Manager is responsible for the delivery of high quality and safe clinical services. The Unit Manager will manage clinical and support staff of the Unit. This team leader is also responsible and accountable for daily operations to achieve best practice and organizational objectives.

Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Job Responsibilities :

Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality care

Conduct resident assessments and develop care plans

Monitor residents’ progress and communicate changes to families and physicians

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulations

Collaborate with other departments to provide coordinated care

Oversee medication administration and other clinical procedures

Participate in discharge planning and quality improvement initiatives

Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to nursing staff

Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Job Requirements :

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

Solid background in long-term care preferred

Strong clinical and leadership skills

Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR / EHR) systems

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
