Security Officer - Utilities Access Control
As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a major utilities location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, and remaining highly visible to provide a reassuring presence. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at utility locations.Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and / or visitors.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for utility environments.Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel.Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.Remain alert to potential hazards and / or security-related threats specific to utility locations and take appropriate action as needed.What We're Looking For :
