  • Position Summary The Deli Assistant plays an important role in supporting the deli department and ensuring customers receive exceptional service.
  • This position involves assisting with product preparation, slicing meats and cheeses, maintaining displays, stocking, cleaning, and ensuring the deli area meets our high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.
  • Key Responsibilities Provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service to customers.
  • Assist with slicing meats, cheeses, and preparing deli trays.
  • Maintain fully stocked and visually appealing displays.
  • Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Help with labeling, rotating, and dating products accurately.
  • Keep workstations, equipment, and displays clean and organized.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet department goals.
  • Qualifications & Skills Previous deli, grocery, or food service experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and follow company procedures.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
