Cancer Partners of Nebraska is seeking a compassionate and experienced Infusion Registered Nurse to join our dedicated oncology team in Kearney, NE. The Kearney Cancer Center will be a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care in a modern, welcoming environment. This brand-new center will combine advanced oncology treatments, cutting-edge technology, and a compassionate approach to care, ensuring that patients in Kearney and central Nebraska receive the highest standard of treatment.
In this rewarding role, you'll be a key part of delivering compassionate, expert care to patients receiving life-changing cancer treatment.
What You'll Do
- Provide general nursing care and administer prescribed chemotherapy and infusion treatments in a welcoming outpatient setting
- Monitor patient response, record observations, and report any concerns or changes to the physician
- Educate patients and families about medications, treatment plans, wellness, and side effects
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation, patient charts, and test results
- Ensure all infusion-related supplies, medications, and equipment are well-stocked and properly maintained
- Answer and triage treatment-related phone calls from patients with professionalism and empathy
What We're Looking For
Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of NebraskaCPR certification requiredMinimum 1 year of professional nursing experience, preferably in oncology, infusion, or critical careBSN or OCN certification preferredStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships with patients and familiesA proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to clinical excellenceSkills & Knowledge
Knowledge of oncology, infusion therapy, and patient safety (including OSHA and HIPAA compliance)Competency in medication dosage calculation and safe administration techniquesAbility to communicate clearly, compassionately, and effectively in high-stress situationsFamiliarity with electronic health records and medical documentation practicesAwareness of community resources, team-based care, and patient advocacySchedule
