THE PURPOSE :
The Product Development Assistant is responsible for executing the direction of the Product Development Manager by supporting all facets of the development process. Key responsibilities include sourcing materials, tracking development submissions and samples, and managing new development samples to ensure adherence to True Religion's quality standards and timely sample delivery. This role requires consistent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and international suppliers, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed of updates and deliverables. The PD Assistant also plays a vital role in fostering a positive, efficient, and team-oriented work environment. This role offers exposure to all stages of the product lifecycle and provides the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including tech, design, and production.
THE ROLE (what you are accountable for)
- Assist in the product development process from initial concept through production handoff.
- Support design and technical design teams with tracking samples, tech packs, and vendor communication.
- Maintain and update seasonal WIPs, sample logs, and seasonal development charts.
- Organize and track lab dips, fabric swatches, trims, and sample submissions.
- Communicate regularly with vendors, mills, and factories regarding timelines, sample status, and approvals.
- Conduct market and trend research as needed to support design and development.
- Maintain sample & archive past season and counter styles.
- Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, and creating seasonal folders.
- Receive, process, and distribute packages to cross-functional team members in a timely and organized manner
- Prepare and send packages to factories and follow up with all tracking numbers.
- Meets and strives to increase development standards; looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
- Other general office duties as needed

High school and fashion-related or an Associate's degree in fashion / merchandising or development preferredAdept with data management with a Product Development system, preferably Full Circle.Proficient in MS Excel, Adobe IllustratorTrack record of accomplishment within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentStrong organizational / project management skills, along with excellent oral and written communication abilityPREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Fashion industry experience, preferably in sportswear.Adept with Full Circle or other apparel software systems
