Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Lead F-22 Aircraft Mechanic at JBER, AK.

In this role you will be responsible for performing maintenance repair and upgrades on F-22 systems and structures. You will utilize aircraft technical orders, publications, blueprints and drawings to perform a variety of maintenance actions on aircraft systems and sub systems including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engines.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Leads the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by overseeing the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Directs troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Oversees validation / verification testing of systems and components.

Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.

Leads and supervises others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).

Provides training and mentors others.

Works under minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

5+ years aircraft maintenance experience

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal / structural modifications and repair
  • Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers.
  • Experience repairing and servicing 5th Generation military fighter aircraft
  • Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

  • Experience repairing, and servicing military fighter aircraft F-15, F-16, F-18, A-10, F-22, F-35
  • 3+ year(s) 5th generation aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience drilling, cutting, and fabricating aircraft structural components

    summary pay range : $75,650 - $102,350
