Senior Contracts Administrator
This position is responsible for providing support with contractual strategy, as well as contract administration for all operational companies under our group of companies. The role is critical in minimizing organizational risk through contract and proposal review, compliance checks, and collaboration with operational leaders.
Responsibilities :
- Advise the estimating department regarding upcoming Request for Proposals (RFP) by analyzing bid documents and contract provisions.
- Support operations in risk management in relation to contractual terms, insurance coverage, and project risk.
- Assist the Estimating department in preparing bid documents and qualification statements for RFP responses.
- Review and interpret contractual terms for public works projects, alternative delivery projects, joint ventures, subcontracts, and other legal documents.
- Assist administrative staff with subcontractor compliance, including processing subcontractor change orders, pay estimates, lien releases, and insurance certificates.
- Discuss insurance policy terms and conditions, including payment and performance bonds, workers' compensation insurance, and general liability.
- Understand Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP), Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIP), and Subguard programs.
- Represent the company professionally to the public, customers, subcontractors, and governmental agencies.
- Facilitate new job set-ups by creating subcontract templates and logging data on SharePoint and other software.
- Maintain tracking of subcontractor documents, pay estimates, owner change orders, insurance certificates, and lien waivers.
- Provide administrative assistance in preparing bid forms, prequalification forms, and document distribution.
- Coordinate mail and general oversight of administrative operations as needed.
- Ensure regular, predictable, and reliable attendance.
Essential Skills :
5+ years of experience in construction or related industry contract administration.Advanced knowledge of Viewpoint Construction Software, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Adobe Professional.Strong computer skills and familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Experience using Vista by Viewpoint software is a plus.A valid California Driver's License.Competencies in effective communication, analytical thinking, collaboration, thoroughness, conflict management, and personal integrity.Work Environment :
The position is based in an office setting, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The dress code is business attire, with no jeans permitted. The role requires on-site presence daily.

Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $37.45 - $41.49 / hr.
