Application Analyst II

Description

Summary : As Application Analyst II, you will be reporting to the IT Manager - WMS. The Application Analyst II is an IT application expert and business resource who will analyze, configure, implement, maintain, and support all software solutions throughout the organization to minimize service disruption and facilitate operations. Best practices shall be utilized to implement new business applications, analyze the requirements of end users, and test and integrate applications, within agreed-upon IT service levels. This position serves as a member of the Wagner Logistics IT team and shall uphold and comply with the policies, standards, and attitudes adopted by the company, and shall follow the guiding principles of Best Practices, leverage process improvement, and foster cultural change, where appropriate.

What You'll Be Doing :

• Primary IT resource in our Edgerton, KS warehouse providing on-site support
• Assist with help desk functions and application support, handling escalating issues, answering calls, and resolving various technical issues as needed.
• Troubleshoot and assist with various enterprise applications and resolve issues.
• Ensure stability and integrity of production system applications.
• Coordinate with operations personnel to plan application system upgrades, install new releases and patches, migrate to new systems, and test software for end-users.
• Stay regularly in the loop with department managers, directors, and end-users regarding projects and application issues, and provide resolutions to troubleshooting issues.
• Create technical support documentation and keep it updated.
• Develop end-user training, then schedule and execute it.
• Identify and leverage opportunities to continually strive for data integrity in all applications, processes, documentation, and standards.
• Monitor vendor sites on a regular basis and stay updated with new industry trends by attending conferences and meetings with vendors.
• Identify the features, advantages, and disadvantages of various software applications.
• Act as a project manager for Small / medium-sized projects or tasks.
• Support the creation and implementation of a quality assurance strategy, approach, and detailed plan. Assist with the management of acceptance criteria and identifying defects, and work with the team toward a resolution.
• Other projects or tasks assigned by management.

What You Need :

A. Education : Bachelor's Degree in IT related field preferred. Equivalent 3PL experience may be considered.

B. Experience : Proficient level of experience with or knowledge of a wide range of enterprise applications including, but not limited to, warehouse management software (WMS), financial systems, business intelligence software (BI), transportation management software (TMS), sales management software, and human resources management software (HRMS). Experience with the following specific applications is a plus.
