Position Overview
The Maintenance Account Manager ensures an exceptional client experience by managing ongoing service contracts, identifying enhancement opportunities, and serving as the main point of contact between clients and field crews. This role requires proactive communication, field inspections, and collaboration with operations and production teams. Ideal candidates will have landscape maintenance knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and a client-first
mindset grounded in trust and results.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of landscape maintenance clients
- Conduct regular site walks and communicate proactively with clients on services, issues, and
opportunities
Resolve client concerns promptly and professionallyDevelop long-term relationships that lead to retention and referralsQuality Assurance & Site Oversight
Perform scheduled property inspections to ensure contract fulfillment and visual qualityProvide real-time feedback to crew leaders and maintenance superintendentsIdentify potential service deficiencies or property needs and initiate improvementsTake and maintain photo documentation for job recordsEnhancement Sales & Upselling
Identify and propose enhancement opportunities (plant replacements, seasonal color, turfrenovation, lighting, etc.)
Collaborate with enhancement and estimating teams to build accurate proposalsPresent proposals and secure client approvalFollow through on sold work to ensure timely, high-quality executionCollaboration & Scheduling
Partner with field operations teams to communicate client priorities and deadlinesEnsure crews understand scope of work and special instructionsParticipate in daily or weekly production meetingsHelp balance route loads and crew assignments during seasonal peaks Administration & ReportingManage service agreements, contract renewals, and add-on work proposalsTrack client communication, property issues, and enhancement opportunities in CRM orscheduling software
Contribute to monthly portfolio reports or KPI trackingQualifications
Required :
2+ years of experience in landscape maintenance, account management, or propertymanagement
Proven client service skills with a professional, positive attitudeKnowledge of turf, plant material, pruning, and seasonal maintenance practicesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsComfortable using technology for CRM, routing, or schedulingValid driver’s license and clean driving recordAbility to walk properties and work outdoors in all weather conditionsPreferred :
