HL7 Developer - Epic (Orlando)

Must Haves :

2+ years experience building interfaces enterprise integration engines preferably IRIS (Ensemble)

Associate degree in Computer Science or related study

Plusses

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related study

Day to Day

Full project life cycle development of HL7, EDI or other data type interfaces using Integration Engine and other tools

Guides Epic application teams and business stakeholders on large scope projects, gathering requirements, developing test plans, and ensuring accuracy of data integrations

Responsible for analysis, support and maintenance, of existing or planned Hl7 or non-HL7, EDI or any data interfaces and other integration solutions with a focus on efficiency, and standards

Provides support when issues arise to maintain the integrity of the enterprise data

Provides project support as an active team member within the Information Services teams and works to promote a positive team environment

Must be competent to work under minimal supervision in all phases of interface analysis and development

Reviews upgrade documentation related to integration features and business requirements content

Escalates issues to the Integration Manager when hard-stops and / or technical barriers are encountered preventing the solution from completing successfully or in a timely manner

Provides guidance and assistance for other team members to ensure efficient and effective responses to business intelligence needs

Adheres to IT standards for methodologies, quality assurance and security
