Paramedic

6-week contract for a experienced Paramedic. Work location is in Alvin

Hours : 4 : 30a-4 : 30p

​​​​​​​ This position requires you to be able to :

• Deliver appropriate patient care at a competent level and according to the age / needs of the patient / population served
• Treatment of the emergency patients and performs procedures identified on the skills inventory, respond to work site emergencies during shifts,
• Providing medical treatment within scope, daily duties include inventory, calibration of equipment and employee pre physical testing to include audio teste, respirator fit testing, audiograms, EKGs, blood draws and vitals, assist in communication and prioritization of patient care
• Obtain subjective and objective data, document on emergency center records according to hospital standards, providers patient / family with discharge information, and / or education.
• Provide training to ensure accurate charge captured and consistency clinical documentation in the use of charge tools and charge systems.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors; adheres to all Hospital policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory / continuing education and skills competency
• Supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
