Essential Job Functions
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of road construction equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, graders, asphalt pavers, compactors, wheel loaders, skid steers, backhoes, and haul trucks.Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.Maintain accurate service logs, repair records, and parts usage.Collaborate with operators, foremen, and supervisors to identify mechanical concerns and schedule necessary repairs.Ensure compliance with all company safety standards and DOT / OSHA requirements.Requirements
Minimum 3+ years' experience repairing heavy equipment in road construction or related industries.Strong knowledge of hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems.Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.Must have own basic set of tools.Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required.Soft Skill Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel or heavy equipment mechanics preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use a smart device for reporting and documentation.Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50+ lbs., bend, crawl, and work in varying outdoor conditions.Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.Compensation
$30 / hour (DOE) with overtime opportunities and benefits package.
