Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM with flexibility for operational needs; occasional evening and weekend availability for special events and administrative requirements

Position Summary
The Clinic Manager serves as an operational leader for a multi-provider health center location, overseeing comprehensive daily operations for medical, dental, and behavioral health services. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient clinic operations, staff management, patient flow optimization, insurance verification, compliance oversight, and quality improvement initiatives. The Clinic Manager coordinates all operational aspects to support our mission of providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to homeless and medically underserved populations.
Responsibilities & Expectations
Operational Management & Leadership
- Oversee daily operations of multi-provider health center, including medical, dental, and behavioral health services.
- Manage clinic workflow and patient flow to ensure optimal efficiency and patient experience.
- Coordinate provider schedules and clinic capacity to maximize productivity and patient access.
- Monitor and adjust operational procedures to meet productivity targets and quality standards.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and coverage for all clinical and administrative functions.
- Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures in accordance with FQHC standards.
- Manage clinic opening and closing procedures, ensuring security and safety protocols.
- Coordinate maintenance and facility management issues with appropriate departments.
- Monitor patient experience metrics and implement service improvement initiatives.
- Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned by senior leadership.
Insurance & Revenue Cycle Management
Oversee insurance verification processes and ensure accuracy of patient eligibility determination.Monitor accounts receivable and work with billing department to optimize revenue collection.Ensure compliance with sliding fee scale policies and fee collection procedures.Review and analyze financial reports to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement.Staff Management
Supervise clinical and administrative staff including medical assistants, patient service representatives, and support personnel.Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development.Review and approve staff scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage for all services and departments.Lead staff meetings and facilitate communication between departments.Coordinate staff training programs and ensure competency maintenance.Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes for clinic positions.Address staff concerns and facilitate conflict resolution as needed.Requirements, Education and Licensure
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field; Master's degree preferred or relevant management experience.Minimum 2 years of healthcare management experience, preferably in FQHC, community health center, or multi-specialty clinic environmentKnowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, HRSA, and CMS requirementsExperience with revenue cycle management, insurance operations, and billing processesProven leadership and staff management experience with diverse healthcare teamsKnowledge of Electronic Health Record systems and healthcare information technologyUnderstanding of FQHC operational requirements and federal grant complianceExperience with quality improvement methodologies and performance measurementBilingual skills (Spanish and / or Haitian Creole) highly preferredSkills And Abilities
