Responsibilities Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a large hospital with Level I Trauma Center designation Patient population includes laboring mothers and newborns in a high-acuity environment Night shifts available with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hours, starting at 19 : 00 Every other weekend shifts required On-call required for 2 four-hour blocks per 6-week schedule Block scheduling is accommodated Epic EMR is used for charting Scrubs are provided No floating required within or outside scope Provide direct care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-acuity setting Participate in all required hospital training modules before start and annually Modules are completed pre-start and vary by specialty Parking is available at a cost of $125 per month First-time travelers are accepted Block scheduling can be accommodated per unit needs Up to 7 days of requested time off is auto-approved; extended time off requires approval Flu and COVID vaccine compliance is mandatory for employment Requirements Active CT or compact RN license required prior to start Current BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required (consideration with 1.5 years if Level I or travel experience) Experience working in a large trauma center required One professional reference required Pending license accepted if obtained before start date Flu vaccine required; no declinations accepted COVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless religious or medical exemption granted Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the hospital Returning staff must have been gone for at least 2 years to be eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622271.
