The Staff CRNA is responsible for the administration of anesthesia to patients in an outpatient surgery setting. The ideal candidate for this position will have prior OR experience and possess all active certifications / licenses necessary to work in Pennsylvania. In this role you will receive Continuing Education reimbursement, five weeks of PTO and seven paid holidays, employer nonelective 401k contributions, traditional healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision), and be eligible for an annual company bonus. Shift hours are Monday - Friday, 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm.
Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia using appropriate techniques, either under the supervision or medical direction of a staff anesthesiologist, or independently in collaboration with the surgeon or medical director.
Provide professional nursing care by assessing patient needs and status throughout the perioperative process, while maintaining patient safety by ensuring proper transport, transfer, and positioning.
Initiate and coordinate emergency care as necessary to ensure patient safety.
Ensure all necessary anesthesia equipment and supplies are prepared and available before each procedure, and restock carts and supply areas on a daily basis.
Collaborate closely with nursing and medical staff to deliver the highest standard of patient care.
Accurately complete all required medical records and billing documentation in compliance with organizational policies.
Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring chart confidentiality in compliance with organizational policies.
Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary, in consultation with other nursing and medical staff.
Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) activities to ensure continuous improvement in patient care.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities to meet personal, professional, facility, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Accredited Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) degree required.
Active NBCRNA certification required.
Active Pennsylvania RN license required.
Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
Ability to wear a lead apron required.
Demonstrated knowledge in the use, function, and basic maintenance of anesthesia equipment, including proper care and cleaning of reusable equipment required.
Ability to provide age-appropriate care, with understanding of patient needs across all stages of growth and development required.
5+ years of OR experience as a CRNA preferred.
