Position Summary
The APP - Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an integral member of our care team, working closely with supervising physicians to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. The PA will perform comprehensive assessments, manage follow-up care, and ensure seamless coordination across the patient journey. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a passion for patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and assessments for new and established patients.
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.) to support clinical decision-making.
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans under physician supervision, including medication management and interventional pain therapies.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, and self-care strategies.
- Monitor treatment effectiveness, adjust care plans as necessary, and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff to optimize patient care and clinic efficiency.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and team meetings.
Qualifications
Masters degree from an accredited APP program.Current Texas license (or be eligible to obtain one)Prior experience in pain management, anesthesiology, orthopedics, or neurology preferred but NOT required.Strong diagnostic skills with attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning.Compensation & Benefits
