Collaborate to develop and manage the project portfolio for Network Planning while providing analytical and subject-matter expert insight and guidance for Commercial and Operational Planning initiatives.Develop plans and lead implementation of analytical and data-science models and techniques to enhance the data-driven capabilities of Network Planning while ensuring quality control of all Data Science data collection, integrity, and analysis.Support the analysis and development of all Operations Planning initiatives.Maintain continuity with Network Planning methodologies, ideas, and technology, and steer recommendations the department should take based on characteristics of our business and knowledge of future plans.Manage research, analysis, and development of conclusions and present findings to senior management and executive leaders for discussion and evaluation.Maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers to ensure that all Data Science activities are adequately informed and performed in a collaborative manner.Build effective partnerships with departments across Southwest Airlines both within the Commercial and Operational sides of the business.Identify and evaluate the most important opportunities and issues across the department to be addressed through Data Science and work with leadership to manage those opportunities.Serve as leader, advisor, or mentor on multiple, highly complex data-science programs, working with business customers to understand contextual problems quickly and define, analyze, and deliver innovative solutions based on business objectives.Lead others on the application of mathematics, statistics, and or advanced modeling methods (Python, R, SQL, Atlaeryx, Tableau, etc.) to discover and gain insights on business problems; create, monitor, and manage entities; and / or develop predictive or prescriptive capabilities in creative ways.May perform other job duties as directed by employee's leaders.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required : High School Diploma or GED.Experience
Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s).Fully functioning, broad knowledge in :Transportation, logistics, optimization, or operations.
Analytical programming, querying or schedule assessment tools (R, Python, SQL, SkySuite, etc.).Aviation industry quantitative analysis in Finance, Revenue Management, Network Planning or Operational Research.Presentation and visualization platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, Shiny, etc.).Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from a limited space work station / desk / office area for extended periods of time.Ability to communicate and interact with others in English to meet the demands of the job.Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy.Other Qualifications

Competitive market salary from $148,500.00 per year to $165,000.00 per yeardepending on qualifications and experience. For eligible leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.Benefits you'll love
