Position & Client Overview :

Our client serves as one of the largest health systems in the Midwest. Their 80-bed facility, located 100 miles west of the Chicagoland area, is seeking qualified Medical Technologists / Technicians to join their lab team while working and living in their nice, quiet, family community. The town is located along the scenic Rock River in northwestern Illinois and is a small but thriving old river town community, also know as the Petunia Capital of Illinois.

Medical Technologist / Technician - 2 shifts available :

Day shift, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. - 2 : 30 p.m., alternating weekends and holidays

Evening shift, Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. - 10 : 30 p.m., alternating weekends and holidays

Hourly Salary : $31-37.00

These positions includes shift differential and sign-on bonuses.

Job Summary :

Discover the presence or absence of disease and provide data that help physicians determine the best treatment for the patient. Specialty areas of laboratory medicine include clinical chemistry, hematology, transfusion services, clinical immunology, clinical microbiology, serology and the emerging field of molecular diagnostics.

Skill Requirements :

• Calibrate, operate, troubleshoot and maintain the equipment
• Dexterity and good eye-hand coordination are required to collect and prepare specimens
• Lab safety and infection prevention is of paramount importance
