Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their San Diego, CA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, a deep understanding of the staffing industry and a passion for building client relationships, will have a strong network in San Diego and have a minimum of 2 years experience selling contingent and direct hire staffing solutions in multiple verticals, including, not limited to life science, R & D, aerospace, engineering, medical device, pharma, finance / accounting and / or financial services. You'll play a critical role in driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and nurturing client relationships throughout San Diego county with the goal to open a physical office.
Responsibilities :
- New business development of medical device, pharma, aerospace, engineering, financial services, finance / accounting and / or life science staffing solutions by way of phone, cold calling and field sales. Must be comfortable spending 60% of time selling by way of inside sales and 40% networking, attending meetings, cold calling and prospecting
- Attend a minimum of 1 networking event per month
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers across various industries; nurture relationships through consistent contact, lunches, or other entertainment activities
- Will target San Diego prospects, local, multi-site and multi-state with the ability to nurture relationships to continue to build out contingent staffing needs in all prospective client sites and states
- Collaborate with the recruiting team to understand client needs and deliver top-tier staffing solutions.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and generate regular sales reports for management
- Target mid to large size prospects throughout San Diego County
- Meet or exceed individual sales and growth targets
- Will be provided a target list of 20 prospects and may inherit some legacy accounts
Qualifications :
