Machinist - 2nd shift

A Machinist in Stevens Point, WI is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machine tools to produce precision metal parts and components. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, use precision measuring instruments, and follow detailed specifications to ensure quality and accuracy. The machinist performs routine maintenance, troubleshoots issues, and ensures safe operation of equipment in accordance with company and industry standards. Second shift hours are 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Roles Responsibilities :

• Maintains cleanliness and safety in work area
• Sets up and runs machines / tooling
• Sets up and runs machines / tooling
• Perform calibration of standard measuring equipment, i.e. gauges, calipers, tooling as directed
• Completes paperwork such as scrap sheets, up-issues, logs, data gathering, first / last piece inspection report
• Provides training to employees
• Performs required machine preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoots equipment, machine and process problems
• Use computer for production related functions
• Use appropriate PPE for the task assigned
• Regular attendance and ability to work overtime
