Unit Overview
Farr 3 is a 24-bed inpatient medical-surgical unit on the West Campus of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). The unit provides acute care to patients with a broad range of diagnoses and complex comorbidities, including :
Heart failure
Respiratory failure
Sepsis
Diabetes
Advanced wound care needs
Behavioral health concerns
Dementia and delirium
This diverse patient population requires a dynamic and skilled nursing team dedicated to delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
Role Summary
As a Clinical Nurse II on Farr 3, you will play a critical role in advancing patient safety, quality, and overall outcomes. Building upon your clinical foundation, this role emphasizes both professional growth and leadership development.
You will :
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care for patients with complex medical and surgical needs.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans.
Serve as a resource and role model for newer nurses, patient care technicians, and other team members.
Engage in unit-based initiatives to support quality, safety, and patient experience goals.
Act as an advocate for patients and families, fostering trust, respect, and clear communication.
