General and pediatric orthopaedic care, sports medicine and spine care are offered at the Middleburg Heights Family Health Center. Patients with orthopaedic problems related to the hands and upper extremities, or feet, ankles and knees can access specialty care from our caregivers. As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, families, and visitors. You'll work collaboratively with fellow staff to support medication management, patient monitoring, and a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to broaden their clinical experience by engaging in a wide range of responsibilities across patient care, compliance, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. A caregiver in this position works days from 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm with rotating evenings and weekends.

A caregiver who excels in this role will :

• Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
• Perform administrative / clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
