We have a Physical Therapy Technician position available within our growing organization at our state-of-the-art Franciscan OrthoIndy Ambulatory Surgery Center to in West Lafayette, Indiana opening in January 2026.

General Statement of Duties : The Physical Therapy Technician provides support to the Physical Therapy Department by assisting in the set-up of treatments, clean-up, supervision and transporting of patients to and from the department.

Essential Duties :

• Participants in the supervision and implementation of therapeutic exercise routines under the supervision of the Physical Therapist and following prescribed course of exercises by the therapist.
• Responsible for the application of ice and heat as well as removal of modalities including electrical stimulation after treatment.
• Responsible for transporting patients from their patient rooms to the therapy department to receive their treatment by the Physical Therapist.
• Performs wheelchair transfers safely.
• Recognizes changes in patient status and reports to the treating Physical Therapist and / or nursing staff.
• Participates in the Therapy Department quality control internal audits.
• Responsible for organizing patient treatment times with the treating Physical Therapist.
• Responsible for organizing, stocking, and cleaning the work area.
