Job Summary The Certified Surgical Technician plays a vital role in the operating room, assisting surgeons and healthcare professionals in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative procedures. This role requires technical expertise, sterile technique proficiency, and a commitment to patient safety to support surgical efficiency and success.\n\nResponsibilities : \nPrepare operating rooms, ensuring sterile environments and necessary equipment availability.^Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating surgical needs.^Maintain strict sterile technique, following protocols for infection control and patient safety.^Set up, test, and ensure the functionality of surgical equipment and instruments.^Monitor and manage surgical supplies, replenishing materials as needed.^Handle specimen collection and ensure proper transport for laboratory analysis.^Support postoperative cleaning and sterilization of equipment and operating rooms.^Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to ensure smooth procedures.^Stay informed on new surgical techniques and advancements in technology.
