Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-semester contract opportunity is designed for an educator skilled in supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, general education learners, and those requiring learning disabilities consultation. The position is situated within a K-12 school environment in Round Rock, TX, providing a dynamic setting to apply specialized teaching strategies and collaborate across disciplines.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Delivering tailored instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
  • Collaborating with general education teachers to integrate differentiated learning approaches for diverse student needs.
  • Providing expertise as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) to assess, plan, and support students with learning challenges.
  • Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and acmodations.
  • Maintaining accurate records and municating progress with families and staff.
  • Participating in professional development and team meetings to stay current with best practices.

Minimum qualifications :

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least one year of related teaching or consulting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional methods for Deaf / Hard of Hearing students and those with learning disabilities.
  • Excellent munication and collaboration skills.
