Data Center Technician I

Title : Data Center Technician I Location : Canton, MS Duration : 6 Months (With Possibility of Extension / Conversion) Pay range : $22 - $24 / Hr Job Description : Data Center Facility Operations Specialist Responsible for Data Center Engineering Facility Operations within a Data Center including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting. Responsibilities : Seeking candidates with 1–2 years of technician experience handling issues from Layer 1 to Layer 3. Role is installation-focused : receiving racks, positioning, cabling, labeling, logging into equipment, and troubleshooting. Top Skills : Break / fix troubleshooting of network equipment (highest priority). Cabling / rack installation (trainable if break / fix background is strong). Logging into devices and resolving issues through to customer impact. Preferred Qualifications Electrical and / or HVAC trade certifications or 5+ years of data center or mission critical facilities (example : hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.) experience. Fundamental knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper / fiber) cabling.
