Materials Planner

Job Title

Tasks and Main Activities :

In charge of the inbound supply chain of an JIS production plant

Plan, Forecast, Schedule and Release supplied material demands to meet our production requirements

Use ERP System (SAP) as the Primary means of creating, monitoring and communicating schedules, inventory quantities, releases and forecasts

Point of contact for domestic and international suppliers

Responsible for empties and return shipments to the vendors

Follow-up on delivery timing and expedite the material as needed through line delivery

Supports other departments with supplier development and evaluation

Initiate and follow up with vendors, carriers and customs authorities - daily, hourly, off shifts as required

Requirements :

Logistics / Supply Chain Diploma / Degree preferred or 3+ years' experience working with Suppliers / Inventory Control / Customer Service or a combination of education and experience

Ability to work in a team as well as working independently

Automotive experience highly desired

Ability to multi-task / prioritize work with little supervision

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent mathematical skills, good computer skills and attention to detail

Experience with SAP R / 3 preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word)
