Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a very reputable litigation firm for an executive litigation assistant to support the firm's managing partner and their executive director at their DTLA office. This firm is trial-heavy and is looking for a go-getter that enjoys working in a fast-pace environment. Hybrid schedule!
Base pay range
$48.00 / hr – $61.00 / hr
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise a wide range of legal and non-legal documents, including correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, PowerPoint presentations, and budgets.
- Format and prepare court pleadings in compliance with applicable court rules; generate tables of authorities and contents using firm-approved software.
- Apply a thorough understanding of local court rules, as well as municipal, state, and federal rules of procedure.
- File legal documents with courts and administrative agencies, including through electronic filing systems where required.
- Review, prepare, and maintain municipal law documents such as staff reports, resolutions, ordinances, agendas, and public notices.
- Organize and maintain both electronic and physical case files to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with firm and court requirements.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma required.Minimum of 5 years of experience providing executive-level support, preferably in a fast-paced professional environment.At least 5 years of legal secretary or legal assistant experience in civil litigation.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong proofreading and formatting abilities.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), project management tools, document management systems (such as iManage), and CCC Macros.Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate initiative while maintaining a collaborative team approach.Receptive to feedback, with the ability to apply direction and implement corrections effectively.Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications
