Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Safety Compliance Manager to join our team in Norman, Oklahoma (we are open to candidates located in Wichita, KS as well) . In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring our products meet all safety standards and regulatory requirements, minimizing risks, and maintaining our commitment to quality and consumer safety.
Develop, implement, and maintain product safety compliance programs across all product linesConduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety evaluations for new and existing productsStay up-to-date with evolving safety regulations and standards, ensuring our products remain compliantCollaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and implement corrective actionsManage product testing processes and analyze test results to ensure compliance with safety standardsDevelop and maintain documentation for safety compliance, including test reports and certificationsTrain staff on product safety requirements and best practicesRepresent the company in industry forums and regulatory meetings related to product safetyConduct periodic audits of manufacturing facilities and suppliers to ensure adherence to safety standardsInvestigate product safety incidents and implement preventive measuresQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related fieldProfessional certifications in product safety (e.g., CPSC, OSHA)5+ years of experience in product safety or compliance managementIn-depth knowledge of industry-specific safety standards and regulationsProficiency in safety regulations and standards applicable to our product linesStrong knowledge of product testing methodologies and quality control processesExperience with compliance management software and data analysis toolsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsOutstanding written and verbal communication abilitiesProven project management skillsExperience in risk assessment and mitigation strategiesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentWillingness to travel to manufacturing sites and supplier locations as neededAdditional Information
