Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience and active RDCS or RCS certification for an acute care echocardiography assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an acute care echocardiography unit with 3 scanners and 2 rooms
  • Perform adult echo imaging for inpatients, ED, and outpatients
  • Average of 8 echocardiograms per sonographer per day
  • Utilizes Epic EMR and Change Healthcare CV PACS for charting and imaging
  • Shift schedule is 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM, Sunday through Wednesday
  • Weekend and holiday shifts are required
  • On-call required 2 days per week with pager provided
  • May be required to float to other departments or nearby sites
  • Primary responsibilities include performing echocardiograms on various patient populations
  • Department uses Philips Epiq ultrasound equipment
  • Departmental orientation provided (1-3 days)
  • On-site supervision available
  • May occasionally float to nearby affiliated sites as needed
  • Returning candidates must not have been employed by associated facilities within the past year

  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a cardiac sonographer
  • Active BLS (AHA) certification required
  • Active RDCS or RCS certification required
  • Experience using Epic and Change Healthcare CV PACS preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Copy of driver’s license must be provided for consideration
  • Two references : one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
  • Must wear black scrub pants with any solid color scrub top
