Essential Experience
Mechanical engineering qualification (HNC / HND or similar)4+ years' experience in a similar mechanical design roleWorking within a multidisciplinary design teamExperience using 3D Modelling software (Revit, Inventor, Solid Works etc)Experience of fabrication designInnovative approach to workDesired Experience
Experience using AEC software such as : Revit, Plant 3D, NavisworksPrevious experience of multidiscipline projects within the Mechanical / Electrical Engineering sector of the water industryCapable of contributing to the commercial management of M&E works including assisting with work estimates etc.Knowledge of ISO19650 BIM standardsThe Role
Mechanical design of water / wastewater projects in line with client specificationsProduction of Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's) using Plant 3DProduction and co-ordination of 3D models using RevitProduction of general arrangement drawings, sections & elevationsProduction of pump calculations, equipment schedules, technical specificationsProduction of fabrication detail drawings for site installationsLiaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain quotations for equipmentPreparation of technical design submissions for client reviewAttend regular project design and site meetingsLiaise with process engineers, electrical engineers and ICA Engineers on projectsComply with all ISO Quality & Environmental policies and procedures, and all health and safety rulesEnjoy the full life cycle of a project from initial specification to commissioningSounds like you?
