Senior Geologist
Geologist location can include any of Amrize Cement Sites in OR, UT, MD, TX, OH, FL, WA, MO, AL, PA
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Geologist with a strong background in cement raw materials and industrial minerals to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, data-driven, and capable of leading geological exploration, resource evaluation, and collaborate with mine planning efforts to ensure sustainable raw material supply. This role requires expertise in exploration, geological modeling, mineral characterization, and data interpretation to optimize resource utilization and operational efficiency.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education : Bachelor's degree or 10 years of equivalent experience in geological exploration and resource management, preferably in cement raw materials and industrial minerals (limestone, clay, gypsum, pozoolans, etc.). Field of Study Preferred : Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.
Education Preferred : Master's degree
Required Technical Skills :
Office XP User (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Power BI, Qlik, and Tableu experience preferred.
Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Vulcan, Surpac, MineSight, Leapfrog, Datamine) and GIS applications.
Travel Requirements : Duties include all quarries within the Company, and special projects must be able / willing to travel to around 50% of the year, work well in field conditions, deal well with unforeseen situations and adjust accordingly.

Permitting Experience
Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and statistical analysis.
Knowledge of cement manufacturing processes and raw material requirements desired.
Familiarity with sampling techniques, core logging, and mineral characerization methods.
Understanding of mine planning principles, quarry operations, and environmental compliance.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
