Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol Officer in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with tenants and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including verifying identification and managing visitor entry as required by site guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and visitors to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
