Manager Office Operations Job Responsibilities :
The Manager of Office Operations manages all aspects of Human Resources (HR) within the assigned department in conjunction with the Senior HR Consultant and HR Director. Maintains effective and responsive relationships with internal / external customers and senior leadership. Ensures the provision of consistent, available and qualified staff to meet the needs of clinical / billing staff and others, to achieve departmental service objectives and financial targets. Manages operational finances such as budgeting, control of salary / non-salary and capital investment expenses and oversees all business back office processes such as inter-connectivity with clinical operations and billing operations, while developing strategies and best practices for operational effectiveness and process efficiencies.
Oversees assigned department or functional area to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks.Participates with management, medical staff and clinical leaders in the organization's decision making committees and processes.Develops, supports and participates in programs that enhance the integration of services across Inova Health System; Manages existing business processes and practices for the department and other interdependent operating units.Oversees / directs business office team members in formal performance improvement programs, "Service Excellence" and compliance with The Joint Commission, Medicare, Medicaid and state regulatory bodies.Utilizes statistical and other pertinent data to determine / justify the need for human, material and environmental resources to deliver high quality business support services.Confers with Risk Management, Medical Records Coding, Patient Registration and Performance Improvement to assist in the validation of information and reporting.Coordinates inter-functional sharing of resources with clinical and billing operations to ensure optimal expense management and minimize redundancy.Works with stakeholders (e.g. management, staff, organization leaders, vendors and community) to assess performance of business support services.Creates action plans, profitability strategies and revenue management initiatives for key areas of focus - resulting in optimal revenue streams.Position requires some travel within Northern VAMay perform additional duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in related field (or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 8 years)Experience : 5 years of professional work experience in a relevant work environment & 2 years in a management or leadership rolePreferred Qualifications :
Cardiology experienceOffice management experience (multi-sites a plus)
