Responsibilities
Serves as personal and confidential assistant to the University Ombuds. Provides administrative assistance to the University Ombuds on daily operations of the office. As needed, serves as first point of contact for the University Ombuds office, providing information and assistance.
Prepares and reviews correspondence and reports for the University Ombuds regarding confidential and sensitive matters. Organizes and compiles reports, documents, and files for reference and retrieval. Coordinates case management and other required reports to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and appropriate formatting and completeness.
Interacts directly with students seeking the services of the University Ombuds to manage intake of complaints or reports and provide updates to students. Coordinates case management on behalf of the office.
Responsible for independent management of daily administrative operation of the department. Analyzes and makes recommendations on office needs to achieve maximum productivity. Independently coordinates objectives of the office, designing and implementing policies and procedures in coordination with the University Ombuds.
Manages internal and external communications needs for the office, including creating and maintaining content and design of the website in conjunction with the Office of Compliance and Ethics. Schedules travel, meeting, and manages daily calendar of the University Ombuds, interacting with students and representatives of various offices within the university.
Coordinates and handles budget and HR-related activities for the office.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.
