Licensed Pract Nurse (F / T / Third Shift)-Sylvania, GA

Optim Medical Center - Screven is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse Full Time (Third Shift) for our Sylvania location. We are offering a $5,000 sign on bonus.

Job Requirements :

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about changes in patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

• Obtains, verifies, and records health history of patients. Gathers pertinent health data through physical assessments and biological samples. Collects specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Provides basic patient care as ordered. Administers medications and treatments as directed. Assists other health care professionals in performing exams, diagnostic procedures and treatments, and minor medical procedures. Adheres to infection control / safety guidelines and confidentiality policies.
• Documents assessments, interventions, patient / family responses, and medication dispensed / prescribed, and test results in medical records.
• Promotes wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice / instructions.
