Insite Operations Manager

Clean Harbors in St. Louis, MO is seeking an InSite Operations Manager to join their safety conscious team. The InSite Operations Manager leads their team in supporting the execution of a clients environmental management program at a client location. The InSite Operations Manager II will have industry experience combined with a strong management and administrative skill set.

InSite Operations Manager responsibilities include :

  • Ensuring that health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Managing and coordinating the efforts and health and safety oversight of the Clean Harbors onsite employees for customers air, water, and / or hazardous waste programs
  • Managing and tracking facility wide waste generation, storage, and disposal by providing waste tracking reports
  • Responsible for proper packaging of waste to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
  • Scheduling transportation and disposal for outgoing wastes as needed.
  • Maintaining adequate levels of equipment for routine service needs and ongoing projects.
  • Scope special projects and provide estimates.
  • Assisting customers with compiling data necessary for completing the Generators Annual Report and other required reporting functions.
  • Conducting facility wide compliance audits to include inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance.
  • Providing weekly status reports to facility management.
  • Performing other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

High school diploma or equivalent required (Degree in environmental studies preferred);

Supervisory or management experience in chemical operations preferred

P&L / Budget experience helpful but not required

Knowledge of Federal, state and local environmental regulations

OSHA Training and experience
