Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring strong neuro experience and previous travel experience in Kentucky or compact states.

Responsibilities Position is in the ICU of a hospital setting

Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, 19 : 00–07 : 00

3–4 weekend shifts per month required (Friday or Saturday night)

Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 1–2+

Care for vented patients and those requiring airway management, artline management, and central line management

Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, including neuro and post-surgical cases

Travelers may be required to float to different units

EPIC is used for computerized documentation and experience is required

Responsible for managing complex critical care and neuro ICU patients

Required to maintain isolation precautions when indicated

Orientation includes modules completed during onboarding and annually

Return staff must have a 2-year gap from previous employment to be eligible

Open to first-time travelers

Team-based environment with support for travelers

Requirements Active KY or compact RN license required in hand

Minimum of 2 years RN experience with at least 1.5 years recent ICU experience

Strong neuro experience required

Previous travel nursing experience required

Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must provide two professional references for consideration

Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay

Experience in airway management, management of vented patients, IV drips, continuous IV sedation, titration of vasopressors, and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias required

Experience with post-neurosurgical, post-thoracic surgery, fempop, and CEA patients required
