SOLR Developer

Job Summary :

Our client is seeking a SOLR Developerwith deep expertise in Apache SOLR to drive the search platform development and optimization. While SOLR is our primary focus, our client is also planning a future evolution towards Elasticsearch, so experience with both is a plus. In this role, you will work on building, optimizing, and maintaining search solutions for product-based and location-based search functionalities. You'll play a key part in scaling and improving the search capabilities, ensuring high performance and relevance. Over time, you will also contribute to the migration strategy toward Elasticsearch. This is a hybrid opportunity located in Atlanta, GA!

Duties :

• Design, develop, and optimize Apache SOLR search solutions for our platform
• Implement search relevancy tuning, query performance improvements, and indexing strategies
• Work on scalability, clustering, and replication for high-availability search solutions
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to integrate and enhance search capabilities
• Troubleshoot search-related performance issues and implement solutions
• Provide insights and recommendations for a future migration to Elasticsearch while maintaining SOLR as the current priority
