Ford Field Service Technician
Location : Irving, TX 75062

We are seeking a Ford Field Service Technician to provide expert repair and maintenance support directly at customer sites. This role is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and completing repairs using advanced diagnostic equipment. The position requires technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver quality service while representing the dealership in the field.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional service and support during on-site visits
- Diagnose vehicle concerns, perform inspections, and complete repairs efficiently
- Use computerized diagnostic tools to evaluate and resolve issues
- Handle light and medium-duty repairs, including :
Brakes, electrical systems, and HVAC
Suspension, drivetrain, and steering componentsGas and diesel enginesTransmission and transaxle systemsPrepare work orders and submit detailed service documentationIdentify warranty concerns, maintenance needs, and product upgrade opportunitiesWork with management and other technicians to resolve complex repairsProvide customer education or training on vehicle systems when necessaryFollow dealership safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspaceMaintain an efficiency level of at least 85%Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 2 years' experience in an automotive or medium-duty repair settingSkilled in one or more of the following areas : Automobile (A1–9), Medium / Heavy Truck (T1–8), School Bus (S1–7), or Transit Bus (H1–8)Eligible to obtain a CDL with passenger and air brake endorsementsASE certifications or ability to successfully pass examsStrong mechanical and troubleshooting abilityEffective communication and customer service skillsReliable, professional, and able to work independentlyPhysical Requirements
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.Regular kneeling, squatting, crawling, and climbing requiredManual dexterity to handle tools and vehicle componentsAbility to maintain a valid CDL, including passing DOT medical and driving requirementsPay & Benefits
