Records Analyst Election Specialist
The Records Analyst Election Specialist is responsible for the administration of election duties in the Election Division of the Secretary of State's Office. The Secretary of State's office is charged with maintaining uniformity in all elections in Wyoming and is responsible for the administration of election duties in the Election Division.
Essential functions include performing daily activities required by the Wyoming Election Code and the federal Help America Vote Act (HAVA), the Wyoming Campaign Finance Information System (WYCFIS), and the Wyoming Voter Registration System (WYOREG). The position also provides technical assistance to county clerks, monitors issues relating to lobbyist registration and disclosure, and conducts research and advises clerks about election procedures.
Preference will be given to those with election administration experience. Knowledge of theories, principles, and practices of elections, governmental records systems, statutes relating to elections, campaign finance disclosure, lobbyist disclosure, and ethics disclosure, as well as principles, practices, and methods of records management are required. A Bachelor's Degree (typically in Records or Data Management) is required, along with 0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Records and Data Management) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Records & Data Management Clerk or 3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Records and Data Management) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Records & Data Management Clerk.
Occasional travel is required, and the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, and driving an automobile. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
