The Supply Chain team adds value to source the highest quality parts and services from around the globe while ensuring optimal cost and on-time delivery. You'll contribute to establishing a robust supply chain so we can continually produce the vehicles our customers want.

In this position you will :

  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure suppliers exceed launch, quality, capacity, and warranty metrics for battery assembly
  • Lead cross-functional decisions with Ford & Supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues
  • Implement actions to ensure zero battery pack assembly losses from suppliers
  • Serve as on-site troubleshooter and provide corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
  • Lead adherence to Ford standards (e.g., Q1)

Responsibilities

  • Drive assessment & validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites
  • Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP)
  • Use data, metrics, and business plans to drive future sourcing decisions ensuring improved future quality
  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure suppliers exceed launch, quality, capacity, and warranty metrics for battery assembly
  • Lead on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
  • Travel up to 50% primarily within MI and to KY and TN
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent technical / manufacturing aptitude
  • 5+ years' experience in manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, stamping, welding, plastic / rubber molding, brazing, sintering, automated / manual assembly and controls automation programming
  • Ability to develop and present materials to leadership on short notice
  • Ability to lead resolution of manufacturing, quality, and / or capacity issues on-site with suppliers
  • Ability to travel in the US, Canada, and Mexico approximately 50% of the time
  • Even better, you may have

  • Bachelor of Science / Engineering, or equivalent technical / manufacturing aptitude
  • Experience leading multiple assignments with demanding timelines
  • Manufacturing, maintenance, and quality operations experience
