WSP is excited to announce an open position for Head of Electrical Engineering, Renewables within the dynamic national Onshore Renewables Engineering Team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join WSP USA’s Energy team—ranked #2 on ENR’s 2024 engineering list for the Power sector and #4 overall—in a key leadership role. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in driving client success and embracing the challenges of the Energy Transition, making a meaningful difference in the industry. Contributing to the continued growth of WSP’s Energy engineering footprint in the US market, this inspiring position is ideally based at our Boulder, CO or Houston, TX office.

This leader will provide client engagement, electrical balance of plant (BOP) subject matter expertise, and team leadership for due diligence, development, design, and construction phases of utility and commercial scale solar, wind, and BESS projects across the US, primarily in the private sector. Some of the core tasks include BOP Electrical project and task delivery, and review, oversight, and guidance of delivery teams with occasional support with proposal & business development such as participating in key conferences and client meetings. This individual will provide situational guidance to PMs and managers that address current and future challenges, and that documentation and recommendations accurately account for and address risk, innovation, and future-ready opportunities. Provides leadership with ensuring that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations) : $139,800 - $249,150
Expected Salary (Colorado only) : $130,100 - $226,100
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and / or federal law.
