Ski Rental Supervisor

We are looking for a Ski Rental Supervisor to help us grow in the next exciting chapter for Switchback Sports. The Supervisor needs to be someone passionate about the outdoors with a drive to help customers and staff on their journey exploring our incredible world, and perpetuate the sports that we all love. We are looking for someone with great leadership skills that can manage a small rental shop and offer an incredible customer experience to our guests. We are excited to be growing into new product segments as well as growing our footprint in the Mountain West. We are still a young company and there is continuous room for growth and upward mobility within the company.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Lead the Switchback Sports team in one of our satellite locations.
  • Support the Area Manager by leading retail and rental processes, training, implementing rental SOPs, tagging and tracking inventory, troubleshooting software and reservation issues.
  • Review and track reservation status and payments.
  • Must have knowledge of all products and services in store.
  • Maintain a clean, well merchandised retail and rental environment.
  • Must exhibit strong leadership skills.
  • Build and sustain a professional and guest friendly standard of service.
  • Have the ability to train all aspects of daily operations. This includes product knowledge, all shop processes pertaining to retail, rental, repair, and sales.
  • Support Area Manager to evaluate and review employees performance.
  • Must be able to communicate Switchback Sports and Skis on the Run culture, values and goals to employees, community and guests.
  • Support the Area Manager with all retail inventory control. This includes shrink, accuracy of inventory counts and receiving, tagging and delivery of product to respective departments.
  • Support manager in, opening and closing of the store.
  • Manage cash handling, rental billing and guest payment reconciliation.
  • Understanding and execution of all safety standards for employees and guests.
  • Knowledge of risk management and company liability.
  • Must be able to execute summer and winter buying strategies.
  • Establish community ties that lead to corporate involvement in local events, organizations, educational foundations, etc.
  • Manage staff of Retail Sales, and Service Techs.
  • Support Switchback Sports E-store.
  • Reports to Area Manager & Store Manager Park City.

    • All other duties, activities and processes as assigned
