Representative Responsibilities of this Position :
- Advance the mission, vision, and values of Mounds Park Academy.
Be present where needed, ready to work as needed to meet responsibilities.
Provide an example of punctuality and attendance for all meetings, open houses, etc.Ensure the safety of students and be prepared to respond to or manage a crisis (e.g., fire alarm, building evacuation or lock-down, etc.).Answer main phone line, connect calls to correct individuals, give direction or schedule details to callers. Page students after school and other appropriate announcements.Purchase supplies for school, faculty, and office staff.Check in all MPA deliveries against PO.
Search vendors for the best possible prices and quality of supplies requested to save money for the school’s budget.Purchase Public Funds supplies to make sure they meet requirements. Manage the Public Funds spending spreadsheet to make sure all funds are spent within the school year.Make all electronic deposits of checks paid to Mounds Park Academy and complete the corresponding journal entry.Manage the Central Supply and Stationary Inventory. Keep on hand an inventory of about 3 months for supplies and one year of stationary.Sorting and distributing incoming mail. Initiating and completing product returns.Coordinate transportation activities with the school’s transportation provider and District 622.Compile bus rider information and maintain a spreadsheet for each district represented at MPA.
Record keeping making sure parents are sent transportation reimbursement information for Parent Transportation Reimbursements at the end of the year based on the students’ attendance.Reconciling Amazon monthly.Reconciling credit card assigned to employee and Chief Financial and Operation Officer.Perform background checks and fingerprinting.Scheduling :Maintain calendar for Chief Financial and Operation Officer : schedule appointments and monitor updates.Create and maintain the monthly night desk based on information received from the athletics department and the MPA master calendar.Assist business office with scheduling interviews and interacting with applicants.Be an active, positive, and contributing member of Mounds Park AcademyDisplay high integrity at all times and be a role model for students.Communicate respectfully and effectively following the Respectful Discourse Policy with parents, students, teachers, staff, administration, visitors, and volunteers.Support and facilitate the initiatives of the MPA strategic plan and positively contribute to school-wide committee work.Support colleagues and demonstrate leadership with peers.Understand and fulfill all aspects of employee handbook.Maintain appropriate boundaries with students.Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as requested by the Head of School or as deemed necessary for safe and efficient operation of the school in order to fulfill the mission of Mounds Park Academy.The above list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and / or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds during event set-up or with office supplies. Frequent keyboard and computer use comprise a significant amount of daily activity. Occasional evening and weekend work required.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The working environment is primarily comprised of office and school facilities. The employee will primarily work at the reception desk and must be able to work with frequent interruptions and frequent exposure to moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to loud noise levels produced by large groups of students.
The employee will also work with others in small and large groups, and amongst both a traditional office environment as well as with staff and faculty in a busy school environment.

MINIMUM / MAXIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Two-year degreeBasic Accounting KnowledgeAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing, excellent customer service skills, detail oriented.Strong computer skills : knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, General Ledger systemsAbility to multi-task, work independently, and prioritize workload.Able to manage confidential information.Calm, pleasant demeanor. Good common sense, friendly, and patient
